Common Mutations Linked To Increased Risk Of Breast Cancer

Researchers at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health compared three glutathione S-transferase (GST) genes, which produce proteins that help the body block free radical damage, in 110 breast cancer patients with those of 113 healthy women. The investigators found a link between mutations in this class of genes and breast cancer.
