Green Tea May Protect the Aging Brain
(NY, Reuters Health,  2/24/06)

Dr. Shinichi Kuriyama of Tohoku University Graduate School of Medicine, and team, tested the memory, language and attention of 1,003 older Japanese adults, who had completed questionnaires on their habits, health and previous month’s diet. The investigators found that the more green tea the participants routinely consumed, the lower their risk of cognitive impairment. Scientists speculate that compounds in tea may protect brain cells.
