Everyday Apples Pack Antioxidant Punch

A Canadian government study, conducted by Rong Tsao and
team, compared antioxidant levels in eight types of apples.
The researchers report that Red Delicious, which happens to be
the most common apple variety grown in the US, ranks highest
for antioxidant concentrations, especially in the peel. Though
other fruits, like berries, may contain greater antioxidant
concentrations, the widespread popularity of apples “might
make them a better source for many people.”
