Vitamin E May Protect Against Parkinson's -Study

Dr. Mayhar Etminan of the Royal Victoria Hospital in Quebec, Canada, and team analyzed data from eight studies on the effect of vitamins C, E and beta carotene on the risk of developing Parkinson’s disease, a progressive condition in which the brain cells that produce dopamine malfunction. The researchers concluded that a diet rich in vitamin E may protect against Parkinson’s. Scientists speculate that vitamin E’s antioxidant properties may block cell damage.
