Soybean Protein May Lower Blood Pressure
(NY, Reuters Health, 7/5/05)

Dr. Jiang He, of Tulane University in New Orleans, and team, monitored blood pressure changes in 302 adults with mild hypertension who were given either a soybean supplement or a placebo for 12 weeks. The blood pressure of the soybean group decreased significantly compared to the control group. These findings indicate that soybean protein supplements may help prevent and/or treat high blood pressure.
