Drinking Milk May Raise Parkinson's Risk in Men
(NY. Reuters Health, 4/6/05)

Dr. R. D. Abbott of the University of Virginia Health System in Charlottesville, and team, analyzed data collected from 7504 older male participants in the Honolulu Heart Program, which began in the late 1960s and tracked subjects for 30 years. Based on dietary information that had been recorded at the outset, the investigators determined that middle-aged men with the highest daily intake of milk were more likely to develop Parkinson's disease over time than their peers. These findings suggest that some constituent, or possibly a contaminant, of milk may trigger the disease.
