Complex Work May Help Ward off Alzheimer's
 (NY, Reuters Health, 9/23/05)

Dr. Ross Andel of the University of South Florida in Tampa, and team, studied 10,079 adults who were listed in the Swedish Twin Registry. The investigators found a link between doing complex work as a main occupation and a lower risk of Alzheimer's disease. The researchers theorize that performing complex tasks may have an exercise-like effect that builds up a “cognitive reserve” for the brain.
