Trans Fats
(HealthDayNews, 2/26/04)
Considering recent research that confirms a strong link
between trans fats and heart disease, it makes sense to heed
the advice of the Harvard Men's Health Watch to avoid:
- fried foods and fatty snack foods, like chips and
crackers.
- commercial bakery items, like muffins, cookies, cakes
and bread.
- partially hydrogenated vegetable oils.
- cooking with margarine, hardened shortening, or butter.
