High Levels of Bacteria Found in Bottled Water
(NY, Reuters Health, 11/1/04)

Dr. Rocus R. Klont of the University Medical Center Nijmegen, the Netherlands, and team, tested 68 commercially bottled waters, as well as tap and natural well water. The investigators found pathogens in more than 40% of the water samples. These findings suggest that bottled water is not necessarily pure and safe and that patients with compromised immune system could actually be put at risk by drinking it.
