Hard Water
May Protect Against Heart Attacks
(WebMD, 1/14/04)
Finnish researchers examined data for heart attack and
fatalities in 19,000 men and found that in regions of Finland
where there was a higher concentration of certain minerals,
including fluoride, in the drinking water, there was a reduced
risk of heart attack and cardiac disease. But high levels of
copper and iron in the water correlated with increased heart
attack risk. |
