Until recently, scientists had believed that only live
cultures of probiotics, the “good’ intestinal bacteria, had
health benefits. But now, researchers at the University of
California, San Diego School of Medicine and the Shaare Zedak
Medical Center in Jerusalem, report that the DNA of inactive
probiotics may stimulate the immune system and, thereby, boost
health.
