May Pose Child Cancer Risk -Study
(London, Reuters Health, 8/18/04)
In a study of more than 500 children, French scientists
concluded that children who live near a gas station or
automotive repair shop are four times likelier to develop
leukemia than their peers. The researchers report that the
risk increases the longer the child lives in close proximity
to these businesses.
