Dr. Alicja Wolk, from the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden, and team, reviewed data for more than 60,000 women, who were cancer-free at the study’s onset. Among subjects who consumed two or more alcoholic drinks weekly, those whose diets contained the highest amounts of folate, also known as folic acid, had a reduced risk of developing ovarian cancer, when compared with those consuming the lowest levels of dietary folate
