Cats, Cockroaches, Dampness, Fungi Linked to Asthma
 (NY, Reuters Health, 9/28/04)

Dr. George T. O'Connor of Boston University, and associates, inspected the homes of 414 mold-sensitive asthmatic children, who lived in seven US cities. The investigators found that homes with cats, roaches and/or dampness were likely to harbor airborne fungi, a risk factor for asthma.
