Strength Training Can Build Postmenopausal Bone

Ellen C. Cussler of the University of Arizona in Tucson, and team, monitored 140 women who participated in a strength training program three times a week. At the end of a year, the researchers found increases in the density of the femoral trochanter, the top of the thigh bone, corresponding to the amount of weight lifted.
