Nutrition &
Diet in the Development of Gastrointestinal Cancer
(PubMed, Current Oncology Reports, 5/5/03)
According to scientists at the University of Arizona,
evidence of the contributory role of diet in the development
of gastrointestinal cancers is growing and clinical trials are
being designed to explore this area. Meanwhile, guidelines for
reducing gastrointestinal risk include avoiding saturated
fats, grilled foods, smoked foods and alcohol; while
increasing the intake of fruits, vegetables, fiber and green
tea. |
