Triggers Heart Attacks

Based on medical data for 28,000 women gathered over a
period of 8 years, Dr. Paul Ridker of Brigham & Women's
Hospital in Boston, and team, concluded that people with
elevated C-reactive protein (CRP), a marker for chronic
internal inflammation, are more likely to have heart attacks
and strokes than people with high cholesterol levels. In fact
77% of the subjects who had heart attacks or strokes had
"normal" levels of cholesterol |
