Halitosis Could be Sign of Ulcer Bug Infection
 (London, Reuters Health, 1/31/03)

The researchers initiated therapy to eradicate H pylori infection in the subjects' intestinal tracts and then, four weeks later, evaluated the results. The doctors found that many of the subjects said that their halitosis (bad breath) was now gone, which raised the possibility that bad breath may be a marker for H. pylori, the bacteria that is associated with ulcers.
