Chew Aspirin if You're Having a Heart Attack

Reseachers at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School measured how long it took for aspirin to begin inhibiting blood-clotting in 12 volunteers. They found that the length of time varied depending on whether the subject swallowed a tablet whole (12 minutes), drank a liquid aspirin remedy (7 minutes) or chewed a standard tablet (5 minutes).
