Zinc May Spur
Growth in Children with Sickle Cell

Children with Sickle Cell Disease tend to suffer delays in
growth. When Dr. Babette S. Zemel of the Children's Hospital
of Philadelphia and fellow researchers gave zinc supplements
to a group of children with Sickle Cell, they found that they
grew more in height than the comparison group. |
