Vitamin E May Lessen Post-Workout Muscle Soreness

A team led by Dr Jennifer Sachek of Tufts University in Boston reports that a 1000 IU daily dose of Vitamin E helped alleviate post-exercise soreness and muscle fatigue in a group of healthy men. Dr. Sachek attributes this effect to Vitamin E's antioxidant properties which allow it to mop up the free radicals that are produced as a byproduct of oxygen metabolism.
