Vitamin D May
Cut Women's Heart Disease Death Risk
(New York, Reuters Health, 4/24/02)
When Dr. Paul D. Varosy and team at the University of
California, San Francisco, reviewed the data from almost
10,000 older women enrolled in an osteoporosis study, the
researchers determined that the risk of heart disease was less
for women taking Vitamin D supplements than for their peers.
