Tomato Sauce Cuts Cancer Risk

In a follow-up study of the diets and health history of 47,000 men, Dr. Edward Giovannucci of Brigham and Women's Hospital and the Harvard School of Public Health found that those who ate lycopene-rich foods, like tomatoes, had a reduced risk of prostate cancer. The study also suggested that cooking the tomatoes may help make the antioxidant, lycopene, more bio-available.
