Soy Diet
Reduces Pain, Inflammation in Rats
(Washington, Reuters Health, 3/15/02)
When scientists at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore
induced inflammation in rats' hind legs, the researchers found
that rats that were fed a soy protein-based diet experienced
less pain and swelling than those fed a milk protein-based
diet. These results raise the possibility of using soy to
manage pain and inflammation. |
