Low Vitamin E Linked to Early Artery Disease
 (New York, Reuters Health, 8/27/02)

Arcangelo Iannuzzi of A Cardarelli Hospital in Naples and colleagues performed ultrasounds on the carotid arteries of 310 women and tested their blood for Vitamin E levels. The results of this study indicates that women whose diets lack adequate amounts of vitamin E are more likely to develop atherosclerosis, a narrowing of the arteries that restricts blood flow.
