Hostile
Personality Linked to Stroke Risk
(Reuters Health, 1/18/02)
Dr. Janice E. Williams of the Centers for Disease Control
and Prevention in Atlanta, Georgia and fellow researchers have
found a statistical link between hostility and stroke for
study participants 60-years-old and younger. The researchers
speculate that physiological reactions related to anger, like
elevated blood pressure, may ultimately explain the
connection; but more research must be done to prove causality. |
