Drinking Water Linked to Lower Heart Disease Risk

Scientists at Loma Linda University in California, led by Jacqueline Chan, analyzed over 20,000 lifestyle surveys and followed the study participants for 6 years. They concluded that people who drank 5 or more glasses of water daily were less likely to suffer fatal heart attacks than those who drank 2 or fewer. On the other hand, people who drank greater amounts of other fluids were more likely to die of coronary disease.
