Dairy Foods May Cut Heart Disease, Diabetes Risk
 (New York, Reuters Health, 4/23/02)

A study of the dietary habits of 3,000 young adults by Dr. Mark A. Pereira of Harvard Medical School, concludes that overweight people who consume a dairy-rich diet are less likely to have high cholesterol and hypertension. Other studies have shown that people who consume more dairy foods, also tend to drink less sugar-sweetened beverages.
