(New York, Reuters Health, 4/23/02)
A study of the dietary habits of 3,000 young adults by Dr.
Mark A. Pereira of Harvard Medical School, concludes that
overweight people who consume a dairy-rich diet are less
likely to have high cholesterol and hypertension. Other
studies have shown that people who consume more dairy foods,
also tend to drink less sugar-sweetened beverages. |
