Curry Spice May Help Tackle Cancer

Subhash Gautam of the Henry Ford Health System in Detroit found that a combination of curcumin, the yellow component in turmeric, and "tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis inducing ligand," a naturally occurring anti-cancer molecule, killed up to 80% of human prostate cancer cells in a laboratory dish. The two substances used together were 2 to 3 times more effective than using either substance alone.
