Caffeine, Even in Small Doses, May Hurt Arteries

When researchers led by Dr. Charalambos Vlachopoulos of Athens Medical School in Greece gave healthy subjects the equivalent of the caffeine in one cup of coffee, their blood pressure rose. The arteries of these subjects also temporarily stiffened, decreaseing the body's ability to supply oxygen to the heart.
