Blood Flow to Heart Hampered After High-Fat Meal
(New York, Reuters Health, 4/1/02)

Scientists at the Osaka City University in Japan found that blood flow to the hearts of a group of healthy young men decreased after they drank high-fat shakes. The results of this study suggest that the high fat content of a single meal can reduce coronary flow reserve by compromising the ability of arteries to expand to increase the heart's blood supply.
