Antioxidants Studied for Use in Cigarette Filters

Dr. Theodore Hersh, president of Thione International Inc and professor at Emory University in Atlanta, and colleagues exposed human cells to tobacco smoke that had passed through an antioxidant-treated filter. Their results showed that the cells exposed to the antioxidant complex survived longer than those exposed to untreated smoke
