Adding Nuts
to Diet Could Help Lower Heart Risks
(New York, Reuters, 6/24/02)
For seventeen years, Dr. JoAnn E. Manson of the Harvard
School of Public Health in Boston and colleagues administered
health questionnaires to 21,000 male physicians. The results
of their study indicate that men who consume at least two
one-ounce servings of nuts weekly are less likely to succumb
to sudden cardiac death than their peers. |
