Pomegranate Juice May Reduce Coronary Problems
(The Institute for Research in the Medical Sciences, Israel, 2000)

The antioxidants in the juice apparently prevented plaque build-up in the arteries of mice by reducing the oxidation of LDL cholesterol which produces cell-damaging free radicals. They noted that ½ a glass of pomegranate juice each day may significantly reduce existing arterial plaque in addition to inhibiting the formation of new plaque.
